Pellets

Poultry pellets are small, firm pieces of feed that cut waste and dust and flow well in most feeders.

They’re great for adult birds—choose layer pellets for laying hens (extra calcium for strong shells) and grower/all-flock pellets for roosters, cockerels, and mixed flocks. Young chicks usually do better on crumbles first; switch to pellets when they’re bigger. When changing feeds, mix old and new for 5–7 days to avoid tummy upset. Keep pellets dry and fresh, and refill daily so your birds eat well.
