Description

Hatch Rate Assurance for Fertile Hatching Eggs – Optional 50% Hatch Coverage

Hatching eggs naturally come with variables that can affect the final hatch, which can make ordering fertile eggs feel a little uncertain. Hatch Rate Assurance is an optional add-on for eligible hatching eggs shipped from our farm, providing additional coverage with a guaranteed minimum 50% hatch rate of viable eggs when all assurance requirements are met.

If the qualifying hatch rate falls below 50%, an approved claim provides store credit or replacement eggs for the difference between the actual hatch and the guaranteed rate. Hatch Rate Assurance is completely optional, but it must be purchased at checkout with the original hatching egg order and cannot be added afterward.

Key Features

  • Minimum 50% Hatch Rate Assurance: Provides coverage when the hatch rate of viable eggs from the covered order falls below 50%, subject to the terms and claim requirements below.
  • Optional Hatching Egg Coverage: Adds an extra layer of support for customers who want additional assurance when purchasing fertile hatching eggs from our farm.
  • Store Credit or Replacement Eggs: Approved claims are resolved with store credit or replacement eggs for the number of eggs below the guaranteed hatch rate. Cash refunds are not offered.
  • Based on Viable Eggs: Hatch rate is calculated using viable eggs, and clear, non-developing eggs may be excluded from the calculation.
  • Original Order Coverage: Assurance applies only to the original covered order and eggs shipped from our farm.
  • 12-Month Store Credit: When store credit is issued for an approved claim, it remains valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

How Hatch Rate Assurance Works

Hatch Rate Assurance applies when the hatch rate of viable eggs falls below 50%. Coverage is limited to the difference between the actual hatch and the guaranteed rate rather than replacement of the entire order.

For example, claims are evaluated using the viable eggs from the covered shipment and the number that successfully hatched. Clear, non-developing eggs may be excluded when determining the qualifying hatch rate.

What Hatch Rate Assurance Covers

  • A minimum 50% hatch rate of viable eggs
  • Eligible hatching eggs shipped directly from our farm
  • The original covered order only
  • Approved coverage provided as store credit or replacement eggs

What Is Not Covered

Hatch Rate Assurance is intended to cover qualifying hatch results, but it does not cover losses caused by circumstances outside the covered hatch-rate terms.

  • Shipping delays, carrier handling, or weather-related transit issues
  • Incubator malfunction or calibration errors
  • Improper incubation temperature or humidity
  • Power outages or equipment failure
  • Improper egg handling, storage, or turning after delivery
  • Cracked, damaged, or visibly compromised eggs
  • Chicks after hatch, including live arrival or survival

What Is Required for a Claim?

All required documentation must be provided so the hatch results and incubation conditions can be reviewed accurately.

  • Photos of Hatched Chicks: Provide clear photos showing all chicks that hatched from the covered eggs.
  • Photos of Unhatched Eggs: After the hatch window is complete, provide clear photos of all unhatched eggs opened to show development.
  • Incubator Information: Provide the incubator brand and model used for the hatch.
  • Incubation Conditions: Include the temperature and humidity ranges maintained during incubation.
  • 72-Hour Claim Window: Claims must be submitted within 72 hours of hatch completion.

Incomplete claim submissions may be denied.

Resolution of Approved Claims

  • Store credit or replacement eggs are issued for the number of eggs below the guaranteed hatch rate.
  • Cash refunds are not available under Hatch Rate Assurance.
  • Issued store credit is valid for 12 months.
  • Replacement eggs are shipped under standard shipping terms.

Know Before You Buy

  • Add at Checkout: Hatch Rate Assurance must be purchased when the original hatching egg order is placed.
  • Cannot Be Added Later: Orders cannot be enrolled in Hatch Rate Assurance after checkout.
  • Optional Coverage: Hatch Rate Assurance is not required when purchasing hatching eggs.
  • Uncovered Orders: Orders placed without Hatch Rate Assurance do not qualify for coverage under this program.
  • Individual Claim Review: Each claim and covered order is evaluated individually.
  • Policy Abuse: Abuse of the Hatch Rate Assurance policy may result in denial of future coverage.

Added Support for Your Hatch

We take care in producing fertile hatching eggs and preparing them for shipment, but incubation involves variables that can affect the final result. Hatch Rate Assurance gives customers the option to add defined hatch-rate coverage to an eligible order while keeping the terms, documentation requirements, and resolution process clear from the start.

Hatch Policy

Hatch Rate Policy

Our hatcheries guarantee that eggs are fresh and fertile at the time of shipment, but hatch rates are not guaranteed. Hatch success can vary widely based on shipping stress, incubation setup, temperature, humidity, turning, and individual incubation practices. Because these variables are beyond the hatchery’s control, no hatch-rate guarantee is offered.

Fertility Checks for Quail Eggs

Fertility is monitored at the flock level on the farm, not by testing each individual egg. Every breeding group is regularly verified through internal test hatches. If any flock ever drops below expectations, it is paused from hatching-egg shipping immediately until performance is strong again.

Lazy roosters are almost never an issue, because farms rotate roosters routinely to keep breeding behavior active and consistent. When a test hatch shows a 90%+ fertility rate, that flock is cleared for shipping fertile eggs again. Eggs from flocks that don’t meet that standard are never shipped as hatching eggs — instead they are used for farm test hatches, pet food toppers, premium dog/cat meal add-ins, or sold as eating eggs.

Customer hatch reports are also tracked. Recent feedback included multiple 100% hatch rate reports, which is exceptional for mailed eggs, where 50% is already considered a solid average. Packaging slips invite every buyer to share hatch results, so fertility data stays real-world verified, transparent, and continually confirmed.

Can a slightly cracked egg be incubated?

If a fertile egg arrives with a very small hairline crack, some customers have successfully sealed the shell by applying a tiny drop of melted wax, provided the membrane beneath the shell remains intact. Eggs with larger cracks or damaged membranes should not be incubated and should be discarded or repurposed if safe to do so. During incubation, eggs should be monitored closely—any egg that begins to leak liquid at any point should be removed immediately. For best hatch results, eggs should be incubated pointy end down and turned gently side-to-side, which supports proper embryo development. Incubators that roll or shift eggs along the floor or sideways are less ideal, especially for eggs that may have experienced minor shell damage during shipping. Candling around day 7–10 can help confirm whether development has started and guide next steps during incubation.
