Incubators & Setters

Incubators and setters keep eggs warm and steady from day 1 until lockdown.

They hold the right temperature and humidity and turn the eggs on schedule, just like a broody hen would. Use a setter (the early-stage incubator) for most of the days, then move eggs to a hatcher for the last few days—or choose a combo unit that does both. Look for features like auto-turners, digital controls/alarms, humidity pumps, and trays sized for chicken, quail, duck, or pheasant eggs. For best results, run the unit 24 hours before setting, candle around day 7–10, then stop turning for the last 3 days (“lockdown”) and clean the cabinet between hatches.
