What is a treadle feeder?
A treadle feeder is a covered feeder with a foot pedal. When a chicken or duck steps on the pedal, the lid opens so they can eat. When the bird steps off, the lid closes. This keeps mice, rats, and wild birds from stealing or dirtying the feed.
