This special reprint of the famous 1st Editon of Lewis Wright's 1867 masterpiece, "The Practical Poultry Keeper" was originally published with "its object being to give practical details in such a practical way that it might be put into the hands of a person totally ignorant of poultry-keeping, with the reasonable certainty that its instructions would be understood by him, and if followed would command success". Included in this reprint of the 1867 edition are details on numerous poultry breeds known at the time, as well as insights into raising, feeding, breeding and housin poultry. Illustrated with vintage period line drawings depicting numerous poultry breeds. Note: This edition is a perfect facsimile of the original edition and is not set in a modern typeface.
