This keeps eggs safer and the packaging better for the earth. The hatchery no longer uses foam shippers because the foam had a 5% breakage rate and raised concerns about waste. The hatchery changed to molded cartons in 2021, and it made a world of difference. Now breakage is extremely low — just 1% out of 6,000+ orders.
