Give your meat birds a cool, safe shelter they can grow in. This DIY polytunnel (high-tunnel style) makes a roomy coop or shaded run you can set up on pasture or near the barn. Cover with the included 4-year, 6-mil plastic for wind/rain and early-season warmth, and add wire on the ends for airflow and predator safety. (Shade cloth, hardware cloth, doors, and skids are optional add-ons you can source locally.)

• Spring lock wire + lock channel to hold the plastic tight

• Ground post driver to set posts safely

• 1⅜" × 1⅜" cross connectors (attach arches to ridge poles)

• Greenhouse plastic (6-mil, 4-year) sized to cover the whole tunnel, including end walls (freight may add ~1 week)

Broiler setup tips

• Use hardware cloth on end walls and a larger poultry door for easy moves.

• Keep litter dry; add shade cloth in hot months and roll up sides for airflow.

• Add a simple predator apron around the base if you’ll park it in one spot.
