Small Waterers

Only have a few birds or a brooder? A small poultry waterer keeps water fresh, fits tight spaces, and is easy to carry and clean.

Size tips: 10–15 chicks → 1–2 qt, 2–4 hens → 1 gal, 4–6 hens → 1–2 gal, 6–8 hens → 2–3 gal. Plan to refill daily (and check twice on hot days) so everyone drinks clean water. For less mess, choose water nipples or cups, set the waterer at chest height, and give it a quick scrub often.
