Scalders

A poultry scalder is an essential tool in the processing of chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and other birds—often mistaken for a plucking machine but serving a different purpose.

It prepares birds post-slaughter by loosening feathers in seconds, making plucking easier and cleaner. By using precisely heated water, a scalder helps maintain skin integrity and prepares poultry for the next steps, including shrink-wrapping. Ideal for backyard flocks and small farms, it saves time, improves hygiene, and helps deliver a professional finish to every bird.
