How the No Crow Rooster Collar Works

A rooster's crow depends on the rapid expulsion of air from his air sacs. The No Crow Rooster Collar is designed to limit that rapid release, so the rooster can still crow and communicate but cannot produce the same full-powered volume.

The collar is not intended to stop your rooster from vocalizing. Instead, it is designed to reduce the volume of his crow while allowing him to continue normal behaviors. Like any rooster collar, proper sizing and fitting are important, so measure your rooster's neck before choosing a size.

Rooster Collar Size Guide

Breed sizes are a starting point, but measuring your rooster's neck is the most accurate way to select a collar. Measure under the feathers, close to the skin, on the lower part of the neck. Add 1.5 to 2 inches to that measurement so there is enough overlap for the Velcro to attach properly. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size.

• XS – 4 inches: Class A Seramas only.
• S – 6 inches: Small or bantam breeds such as Class B/C Seramas, Bantam Cochins, Pekins, Game Bantams, and d'Uccles.
• M – 8 inches: Silkies, Polish, and Leghorns.
• L – 10 inches: Most large-fowl breeds, including Australorps, Ameraucanas, Easter Eggers, Plymouth Rocks, Orpingtons, Marans, Cochins, and Wyandottes.
• XL – 12 inches: Extra-large birds such as Brahmas, Jersey Giants, and Shamos.
