Description

Add-On Brooder Pens for Hen House Collection Custom Coops

Raise new chicks right inside your coop—safe, tidy, and close to the flock. Choose the size that fits your plan:

  • Large Brooder: 5 ft long x 20–24" deep – recommended for up to 20 chicks under 6 weeks old.

  • Standard Brooder: 3 ft long x 20–24" deep – ideal for 10–12 chicks.

Each brooder creates a protected space for little birds while you handle daily chores in one place. Great for introducing chicks to the coop environment, keeping feed and bedding contained, and simplifying check-ins.

Good to know: Heating plate, heat lamp, and electrical receptacle are sold separately (all available as add-ons). Select the brooder size that matches your chick count and plan a safe heat source. We recommend heating plates over heat lamps to prevent coop fires.

Your product will be delivered with yard placement services, right to your property. To ensure a smooth delivery, please confirm the following site access details: a driveway width of at least 12 feet is required (14–16 feet is ideal if there are tight turns, gates, fences, or trees), with a straight access path of 60–70 feet for the delivery truck to back in or drive out. Overhead clearance must be at least 13 feet to avoid wires or branches. The ground must be firm—gravel, concrete, or hard-packed dirt—and able to support 12,000+ lbs.

The trailer needs a driveway that's 12–14 feet wide, and the path should be clear, level, and strong enough for a big truck. The unit can slide off the trailer straight back or to the side, but it usually has to stay within 10–15 feet of the trailer. If the unit needs to be placed farther away or in a tight spot, extra equipment like a forklift or crane might be needed, which can cost more. Cranes are only used for special setups and usually have a reach of 20–30 feet.
