What's the process for buying a chicken coop?
-
Pick your coop/structure + options (get a coop drawing if you want)
Start by selecting your coop size and overall style. From there, we’ll guide you through the details—like epoxy floors, roost bar setup, nesting box placement, siding options, paint colors, and roofing materials. If you’re unsure about things like door and window placement or rooflines, you can request a custom drawing (available for an additional fee) to preview the layout before production begins. -
Get an itemized quote
We send a quote that clearly shows every choice and its price. -
Pay online
Click the secure link on the invoice to check out and pay—just like a normal online order. Check out our Finance Options. -
Send yard photos
Fill out our Yard Placement Agreement form. It lets you upload photos of your property and review what’s needed for a safe delivery. -
Yard placement approval
Our yard placement partner reviews your photos. They confirm the move is safe and list any equipment needed for unloading and setting the coop in place. -
Build timeline
Within 7–14 business days of your order, we share an estimated completion date. (Build time can vary based on coop size and how far it will travel.) Builds typically are 5-7 weeks out. Travel time can be 1 to 4 days depending on your distance from the warehouse. -
Schedule delivery
We work with you and the shipping company to pick a delivery date and plan the yard placement. -
Day of delivery
We’ll stay in contact with you on the day of delivery. The driver will call when they are approximately one hour away. Please ensure someone is on-site to receive the delivery.
