Shipping Information

Order Processing

• Most orders ship within 24–72 business hours.

Shipping Schedule

• Live poultry and hatching egg orders typically ship Monday through Wednesday through USPS or UPS.
• Shipping times are not guaranteed, and carrier delays are outside of our control.
• Please provide a working phone number at checkout. The phone number is placed on the shipment label so your local post office can contact you if needed.
• For any live-arrival coverage, packages must be picked up the same day they arrive when requested by the carrier or post office.

Hatching Egg Packaging

Hatching eggs are carefully packed in insulated foam shippers with additional padding on both ends of the box to help reduce movement during transit.

Even with careful packaging, shipped hatching eggs can experience stress or damage during transportation. Postal handling, temperature changes, and shipping conditions can all affect hatch rates, which is why hatchability cannot be guaranteed.

Live Arrival Guarantee (Chicks & Quail)

Coverage

• Orders containing 3 or more birds are covered by AZ Chickens’ 48-hour live-arrival guarantee for the quantity purchased.

To Qualify

If there is an issue with your shipment:

• Pick up the package the day it arrives
• Email photos within 24 hours
• Include:
  • Photos of any losses
  • Photos of the shipping label
  • Photos of the box and packaging

Resolution Options

Approved claims may receive:

• Store credit, or
• A replacement shipment when weather and shipping conditions allow

Please note:

• Shipping charges are non-refundable
• Immediate reshipment is not guaranteed

What Is Guaranteed

• Eggs are guaranteed to arrive intact.

What Is Not Guaranteed

Because incubation methods, handling, temperatures, and shipping conditions vary:

• Fertility is not guaranteed
• Hatch rates are not guaranteed

If Eggs Arrive Damaged

Please email within 24 hours with:

• Clear photos of damaged eggs inside the box
• The shipping label
• Photos of the packaging and box

Pro-rated store credit may be issued at the discretion of AZ Chickens.

Weather Disclaimer

Ordering during periods of extreme heat or cold is done at the buyer’s risk. Credits or refunds are not provided for hatch issues related to:

• Weather exposure
• Seasonal conditions
• Postal delays

Health, Testing & Vaccinations

• Breeding adults are tested, and AZ Chickens participates in the NPIP program.
• Chicks are not vaccinated by default.
• Optional Marek’s vaccination is available upon request for $0.50 per chick.

Please note:

• Vaccines are not 100% effective
• AZ Chickens is not responsible for veterinary expenses

Cancellations, Refunds & Returns

Live Animals

Due to the nature of live poultry:

• Returns and refunds are not offered except under the live-arrival policy described above.

Delayed Shipments

• If chicks have not shipped within 60 days after your selected ship month, you may request a full refund.

Customer Cancellations

• Orders canceled before the selected ship month are eligible for a 50% refund.

Attempts to bypass this policy through chargebacks may be treated as a violation of the purchase agreement.

Breed Variation & Shipping Timing

Live animals naturally vary.

Factors like:

• Season
• Fertility
• Breed characteristics
• Weather
• Growth and development

can all affect hatch timing, laying performance, feathering, coloring, and overall appearance.

Rare breeds may require longer wait times, and individual birds may not perfectly match ideal breed standards.

Exact ship dates are not guaranteed.

Availability

Hatching eggs are generally available year-round when weather conditions allow safe shipping. Most orders ship between January and October.

All eggs are gathered and packed at AZ Chickens’ Texas farm.

Need a later ship date? Reach out before ordering and we’ll do our best to accommodate scheduling requests.
